Sentiers du bout du monde
  • A walk on the beach, following the heronry path.
  • Start in front of your cottage.
  • A kayak excursion: Go up the creek that runs by #2 cottage and cross through the tunnel under Route 132. High tide required. (Accessible to beginners)A kayak excursion to Haldimand beach. High tide required. (For advanced & intermediates)
  • A bicycle ride to Haldimand beach (2 km) for a daily swim, or in fat bike on the beach.
  • A bicycle excursion to downtown Gaspe (11km), borrowing the cycle path. A swimming halt at Haldimand beach and a snack break in a belvedere at mid-course. Why not some ice cream to encourage the kids?
  • A bicycle excursion to Boom-Defense beach (4 km) followed by a trek to the end (2 km). Low tide required. Why not a little swim to freshen up?
  • A swimming day at Haldimand beach followed by a long walk to Douglastown across the iron bridge.
  • A freshwater swim at the “Blackwell pool” on the
  • St-John river (1 km dirt road on the North side of the river). Who knows? Maybe, you’ll see some salmon!
  • Wear some snowshoes, your skis or your skates and choose your direction. In winter, the ice is strong and the shallow water make’s it safe.
  • Cocooning at the cottage, watching the tall herons in the estuary.
